COVID-19 – TEMPORARY EXTENUATING POLICY
Given the unprecedented nature of the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak and the government lockdown, we have had to add the following temporary policy to cover the Covid-19 to our standard terms and conditions.
1. All bookings taken prior to 23 March will be offered two options:
a. A sixteen-month window in which to defer their holiday if guests are not able to travel to Cornwall. No additional fees will apply and Caerhays Holidays will retain this year’s price on the deferred booking for the same seasonal period. i.e additional costs will incur if the guests move the booking from low season to peak season.
b. Full refund of deposit if guests are unable to travel to Cornwall and are not able to defer. This only applies for guests from Overseas or vulnerable guests. Please contact Caerhays Holidays for further information.
c. Balances for holidays due to be taken from 4 July onwards do not need to be paid until five days prior to arrival to ensure that both Caerhays Holidays and the guests know that they are definitely allowed to visit Cornwall for their holiday.
2. All bookings made from 1 May for holidays to be taken after 4 July.
a. A non-refundable deposit will be taken at the time of booking. The deposit will not be refunded if guests are not able to come on holiday to the booked accommodation due to a further lockdown, extended travel restrictions to Cornwall or individuals contracting Covid-19.
b. A 16 month-window will be offered to all guests in which to defer their booking if they are not able to travel to Cornwall. No additional fees will apply and Caerhays Holidays will retain this year’s price on the deferred booking for the same seasonal period i.e additional costs will incur if the guests move the booking from low season to peak season.
c. Guests must ensure that they have taken out full travel insurance to cover the event of not being able to come to Caerhays for their holiday due to Covid-19.
Given the uncertainty of how long the UK will be affected by Covid-19 and the changing Governments policies on travel restrictions, these temporary policies will be reviewed and amended as required
