Nestled in its own garden overlooking the turreted entrance lodge to the estate, the light-filled comfortable accommodation blends charm and comfort – perfect for both short breaks or extended holidays.
The inviting living space has comfy seating with a wood burning stove to cosy up to for relaxing after a day exploring. The fully equipped kitchen is perfect for everything, from holiday breakfasts to home-cooked dinners with oven, hob, microwave, full-size fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There are two beautifully appointed bedrooms, one a double and the second a twin but could be made into a second double on request.
Outside, a private and enclosed garden wraps around the property – ideal for children and dogs to play safely while you relax with a drink or enjoy a meal alfresco. There is also a barbecue for laid-back summer evenings.
Parking is private and gated with room for two cars and an electric vehicle charging point for added convenience.

Entry to Caerhays Castle Gardens
As a guest at The Old Cart House, you can enjoy complimentary access to the Caerhays Castle Gardens when open (from mid-February to mid-June). These world-famous gardens are home to a National Magnolia Collection, as well as thousands of rare and exotic plants, making spring an especially magical time to visit. The castle itself also offers guided tours when the gardens are open, so you can book onto one of these and get a glimpse into Cornwall’s rich heritage.

The Old Cart House warmly welcomes up to two well-behaved dogs and they’ll love the nearby walks and beaches as much as you will. Porthluney is less than a mile away with its stunning sandy beach and safe swimming. There is also a beach café offering refreshments and live music on certain evenings throughout the summer (note the café is only open seasonally).
