One step from the sitting room leads into a lovely double bedroom with king size bed, whilst a small utility hall leads from the sitting room into a bathroom with separate shower cubicle.

Located just steps away from Porthluney Beach, Bottom Lodge offers immediate access to one of Cornwall’s most beautiful and peaceful stretches of coastline. Wake up to the sound of seabirds, stroll across the lane for a morning walk on the sand or enjoy a sunset picnic overlooking the waves.

Entry to Caerhays Castle Gardens

It is hard not to be captivated by the grandeur of Caerhays Castle and its spectacular 140-acre garden, home to the Williams family for generations. Guests to Bottom Lodge have unlimited access into these gardens when open (from mid-February to mid-June) and a short stroll up the main drive leads you into this horticultural delight. Celebrated for its vibrant camellias, rhododendrons and its National Magnolia collection, it is a photographer and nature lover’s delight.

The South West Coast Path runs past the door offering incredible walks with panoramic views over cliffs, coves and the sea. You are close to hidden gems like Hemmick and Vault Beaches and only a few miles from the picturesque villages of Gorran Haven and Mevagissey.

In the summer, the Caerhays beach café offers a selection of meals and hosts live music twice a week, and you will have a ringside seat.

The area is served by two large towns, Truro and St Austell, each around 10 miles away. Both offer a wide variety of shops and restaurants, while Truro is also home to a magnificent cathedral that is well worth a visit.
