If there’s one thing Cornwall can guarantee any visitor, it’s beauty. Caerhays Holidays is situated in a truly stunning area of the county, with acres of wonderful heritage gardens, the beautiful Porthluney Beach and West Portholland cove on our doorstep, and the South West Coastal Path as our backdrop.

It’s no surprise then that we want to preserve it for future generations to enjoy. That’s why this summer, we’re proud to support Love Where You Are, an initiative launched from a partnership between Cornwall Council and Crowdfunder, to make an even bolder dream come true: becoming a carbon-neutral county by 2030.

Around our sites you will see some Love Where You Are posters, complete with QR codes. Scanning these will take you to a Crowdfunder page, where you can donate to support the projects helping Cornwall achieve this goal, whether by promoting sustainable choices and behavioural change, creating new opportunities for renewable energy, supporting climate resilient communities and spaces or promoting the removal of carbon from the atmosphere through nature-based solutions.

Keep your eyes peeled when you’re staying at Caerhays, as well as when you’re out and about in Cornwall enjoying your holiday, as you’re likely to see these signs popping up all over the county, with visitor attractions and Areas of Natural Beauty all signed up to be involved.

We’re so proud that as a county we’ve always been streets ahead in finding ways to tackle climate change and environmental pollution, spearheading campaigns to ban plastic straws and launching climate-busting tree-planting projects, to name just a couple. If we all pull together, we’ve no doubt Cornwall – and the people who love it – can achieve this next monumental goal!
